I got this sent to me from UofT, so I thought tribe might be interested:

WHAT: One day Job Opportunity
WHEN: March 23rd, 2006 9am-5pm
WHERE: Meet at Delta Chelsea Hotel, 33 Gerrard Street, Toronto.
MORE: Ikuko Ono, Coordinator of Big Brother and Big Sister program
for Hokurei High School in Japan is looking for interested
volunteers. Each volunteer will receive $100 for the appreciation of
their work upon their arrival on the day. The organizing commitee
will pay for the volunteers' transportation fees and admission fees
(Food and beverage not included)

Hokurei High School Students are from Hokurei Boy's Private High
school in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. Most them are 16 years old.
There are 121 students, divided into 29 groups. Each group will
consist of 4-6 Hokurei students and 1 big brother or sister. This
program hopes to encourage Japanese students to speak in English with
their Big sister/brother. The volunteers will spend the day with the
students in his/her group while sightseeing Toronto. The volunteer
does not need to speak Japanese, but if he/she is interested in
learning more about Japanese culture, this would be a great
opportunity. There is no age limit (hopefully age of majority).
Volunteers are expected to be fluent in English, familiar with
downtown Toronto, and friendly, reliable & responsible. Definitely no
drug or alcohol on the day.

If you're interested, please send an email to iono@creativetours.com
