hahah
it was most of the club actually...i didnt realise till i called the owner the next day and said "so do i owe you money cause i drank a lot of champagne last night" and he explained that the whole side of the club is constantly refilled all night...the club is mostly guest list and his...
awesome night....my first track was in fact pure howells...one of his...thankyou again to everyone..i was very happy to have brad involved from here on out...reminds me of the old days.
see you all in a few months

:)
brad will open...so 10 pm
but anyone who knows brad and i playing together from the old days at atomic know that anything can happen over the course of an eight hour night...we've been known to play hour on hour offs...kick each other off the decks...pour water on brad while playing...so...
hahah
i remember...the guy who did it was a little crazy...had me down three or four times...once on a long weekend i showed up and they had posted flyers saying "the max graham festival"...i mean really...
i was rather embarassed...all in a "paying your dues" days work

i dont think the success of jungle and breaks parties (two small fringe music styles in north america when looking at a city overall...as much as i love them both) has anything to do with the scene in a certain city.
i think jerome you speak of only a limited view...the dance music...
hahah
jerome still thinks we are talking about sound system = club hours = great scene or some crap...how many posts say there is so much more too it...
plus noone i know (mostly 22-35) does crystal...theres shitloads of coke but where isnt there...you have dinner at midnight for crying out...
hmm
see i dont think you get any better at writing music...maybe at producing as that is a learned skill that takes years...but to write a riff (bonicci wrote the riff...luke did the bassline and track) i dont think age or experience has anything to do with it...you either can or you can't...
hmm
one thing that always suprises me is how people equate age to talent...if luke was six years old i would say thats pretty amazing...but like james holden before him everyone says "wow hes so young and writing music like that?"...
the two have nothing to do with each other...
nothing...
wow
a scene is so much more than the clubs...
european attitude - beautiful restaurants - supper clubs - bottle service - 25-35 year olds who go to clubs and parties enjoying their life after midnight as much as before it (i never saw that in toronto) - the architecture (old montreal...
:)
excellent night...not sure why but i felt a lot less serious and a lot more sort of "mad fun" with all the goings on beyond just the music...lots of malarky going on in front of the booth and behind me also...nice to see the shine shirts out...and of course someone found the sticker stash...
