shitty weather but I'm gonna grill up some top sirloins, made a corn/edamame salad full of lime and cilantro, and doing up some hasselback potatoes which is my new fav way to grill/bake potatoes. AND I'm gonna have my first glass of wine in 10 months!
Thanks everyone! 41 weeks of pregnancy could never have prepared me for the last 2 weeks but I couldn't imagine my life any other way. I look forward to drawing from the experience and knowledge of all of you mommies :)
I've been lurking in here for many weeks now waiting for his arrival and gathering valuable info and am pleased to announce that on April 25 @ 11:01pm baby boy Roland was welcomed into the world at 8lb9oz, and I was instantly in love :)
Turkeys have been out in full effect in my hood. I've even spotted a few feeding from spilled bird feeders on people's lawns! I've been seeing more coyotes as a result too. That being said, get it together Spring!!
Omg the only staple in my house in addition to milk. The milk is to wash spoonful after spoonful of Nutella down. I can't remember the last time my supply made it to anything like bread. I better hit up Costco and stock up before shortages and hoarding commence.
I'm pretty sure they dropped the net file # thing this year and you use your SIN instead. I remember getting something in the mail about it about a month ago. I can check for sure once I'm home.
great shot!! I love otters, they are so hilariously entertaining to watch! Other than Kojak my backyard rabbit, I have hoards of toads that live in my yard as well. A talented friend of mine even created little pottery toad houses for them which they actually use. I will get pics of them up...
Not the greatest pic at all but it was taken with my iphone all sneaky like at the living room window at around 6am. This is Kojak, the eastern cottontail who lives in my backyard and surprisingly doesn't eat from my garden in the summer but does take care of unsightly weeds all season :D She...
Yeah I haven't been lucky(unlucky) enough to catch a glimpse of my favorite big cat yet. I mainly see mobs of turkeys in the intersections on the way to work, more deer than you can shake a stick at, quite a few coyote and around the Honda plant here it's groundhog central. Oh and Kojak the...
Where is "around here"? I'm up in Alliston and the Eastern Wolf and already sizeable coyotes are known to interbreed in and about these parts. I've seen what was the largest coyote ever last winter, which I'm now thinking was one of these interbred ones as well as the dead body of what I'm...
I too am making that face.
That being said when cats go into estrus(heat) it can last sometimes upwards of 3 weeks if they aren't bred in that period (pun intended). They can also cycle into heat every 4ish weeks in addition. I still don't think you can synch up with them however. I also...
Pulled pork that is currently simmering away in the slow cooker and making my entire house smell amazing! Piled high and saucy on crusty and soft ciabatta buns with a side of homemade tangy coleslaw. Well maybe not the coleslaw, unless I can pull myself away from my early seed starting and...
LOL so did I. Took me much longer than it should have to realize the post started in 2012. Not that I'd be in any shape to attend this weekend, so I guess I'm kinda happy it's not this year. :D
Seeing him in Hamilton tomorrow nite too! BRUUUUUUUUUUUCE! Hoping to hear another vault rarity (like Thundercrack at the Toronto show). GA floors all the way again this time :D
