Nice! It's a great area to ride in. Stunning scenery and lots of random trails to follow. I think I have a similar picture from my ride there years ago

    Top Gear!!

Yeah, the challenge started well, but then went off the rails. I had high hopes for it since I love 80's hot hatches and was hoping they would do a better job of it. Looking forward to the P1 review next weekend though. The magazine article was impressive

Pimp Your Ride: The officious car thread for gear heads

I love the peace of mind that comes with driving a classic-ish piece of shit. Nobody takes a second look at my mk2 GTI. It still get the fun of driving a GTI, which drives well enough, but it's showing its age. Still gets great highway mileage though. As much as I would really like a...

Recommend a top business notebook that isn't an Apple product

I just got a T430 from work as we're replacing all the old WinXP lappies with Win7 ones. I quite like it so far. Small, light-ish, and the others in my dept who have had them for longer than I have haven't had any issues so far.

    F1 Racing

Yeah, enough of the great champions of the modern-ish era also has some sketchy ethics from time to time: Prost, Senna, Mansell, Schu to name a few I guess it's that extra will to win that made them great, but also almost puts an asterisk on their career too for some people

    F1 Racing

:) He had a great run for sure. I'd love to see him get back into sportscars, or even show up as a ringer in a Nurburgring 24 Hours team one year. Too bad he's just disappeared, though some of his "racing ethics" left a lot to be desired. Deserves his spot in history though

    F1 Racing

Agreed. There has been some great racing the past few seasons, but not always for the lead. But ok, was the same during the Schu years, not that it makes it any better. The new turbo era looks pretty promising. Will be even better with Honda in 2015

    Egypt protests

Great point. I think Belgium offers the sabatical as well True, there will be some cutting of course. There has to be. But the problems in Spain and Italy are different than the work/life balance issues in Praktik's point. In Spain, it was reckless lending mixed with tax evasion mixed...

^^ Love it!!! You should be able to find a straight-6 Bimmer lump without too much hassle or excessive costs (certainly compared to all the hassle of fitting a Toyota 6, which is also a fun idea) SBC or a 302 would be fun too, with minimal electrics / ECU's to piss about with
