Any small business owners on TRIBE?

TD merchant services, phone in. No terminal. It was really basic. I had to take the receipts and a deposit slip to the bank. But my branch is only 2 minutes away so no big deal. Money showed up in my business account the next day.

Any small business owners on TRIBE?

I used to take VISA at my first business. Only because I was offering services to large companies for small dollar amounts, usually bellow $1,500. Purchasing did not want to cut PO's this small. So they would give dept heads Visa cards to order small items. Originally Visa wanted me to...

How hard is it to tile a bathroom?

I have never done a tile job but my friends have. It's not too difficult. Look up your local Home depot. They do free seminars on reno's. Find out when they are doing one on bathrooms and sit in. Seeing it done in front of you will help you to make the decision on DIY or contracting it in.

Council voted to designate TTC an essential service

Long read but pretty interesting take on the Taylor law (an essential service law that takes away the right to strike) in New York state. This looks to be what we are in for here if the essential service law is not written properly or more importantly enforced by the Provincial government...

Council voted to designate TTC an essential service

If only there was a political system of classless society with common ownership and free access to all resources. Where there would be no more wage labour and private property. Why hasn't someone developed a system like this???

Council voted to designate TTC an essential service

What fighting words? Voting to make it essential is capitulation to the union. They get more money. They should give Ford a medal. Loose control???? Where have you been??? What control? You strike, you're fired. Pretty simple perception to me.

Council voted to designate TTC an essential service

Just to note where I stand on this issue. For the most part I am just watching this unfold. I don't come to Toronto anymore so it really doesn't matter to me, other than the increased cost of declaring the service essential. However, obviously something needs to be done. I think that...

Council voted to designate TTC an essential service

So you are laughing at me and have called another poster an idiot? The cost to the economy is $50 million, not Toronto's economy is $50 Million per day! Not that I trust the media, or the report. But thems the numbers I have at my disposal right now. Any more name calling?

Council voted to designate TTC an essential service

All publicly funded agencies are essential. If they weren't they shouldn't be funded at all. No strike legislation should be brought in at the provincial level for all public sector jobs.

Council voted to designate TTC an essential service

I'm just quoting man. If you want to laugh, laugh at the sources. That's why I put them in there. My feeling is that $23 million over 5 years is way under the actual cost of making it essential. I don't really understand what city council is supposed to do. In every union environment I...

Council voted to designate TTC an essential service

The cities economic development, culture and tourism division calculated that the cost of a transit strike to Toronto's economy is $50 million a day. A report by the think-tank C.D. Howe Institute estimated designating the TTC essential would cost an extra $23-million over a three year...

    vasectomys...

Just had mine done on Nov 19th. Was done at the out patient clinic at the new Brampton hospital. It took almost a year from booking an appointment with my doctor to getting the referral to seeing the specialist to having the surgery postponed 2 times. I chalked this up to the fact that...
