    Farewell Kevin (R4V4G3D_SKU11S) :*-(

I am so sad. As many have said, it feels like the right place to come to share my grief. Although our friendship extended well past this board, this is the community that gave birth to it in a very real way. Kevin, you will be sorely missed. This is hard to fathom.

    The Mom Thread

Hi guys! We're a month into this baby thing and starting to really get into a groove and enjoy it :) I have a question: do any of you have a pediatrician or family doctor in Toronto that you really like who is accepting new patients? We have our last visit with the midwife in 2 weeks and then...

RIP Kenny Quinn aka pr0nstar on TRIBE.

This is very sad :( It's been a long time since I last saw Kenny, but I only have fond memories. Thank you to everyone who went to spend time with him during his final days - I'm certain that gave him joy and comfort when he needed it most.

Yay Sarah :) And we are likely moving closer to you soon. Yes, going with a midwife and liking it so far. If we move into a suitable place, we'll be doing a home birth.

Well, I just logged in to Tribe for the first time in 2 years and it looks like my last post was a year before that (!). I just stopped by to say hi and that I'm joining your club! I've gone back and read many of the pages in this thread and have found them very helpful and reassuring, so...

The lamest pick up lines you've heard

While walking home from work yesterday, walking fast and listening to music with headphones on (i.e. not what I'd consider a prime target to be hit on), some guy comes up beside me and says "I really like your jacket". He had to say it twice because my music obscured what he said the first time...

    Pap Smears

You don't have to be sexually active to develop cervical cancer. Plus, maybe you should get the annual pap just to clear away the cobwebs and make sure your vag hasn't sealed up :p

Naturopathic Treatments - your insights into what is what...

A good naturopath will recognize and acknowledge that in some cases a "western" medical treatment is called for. Any medical practitioner should be looking out for the best interests of their patient, and should treat them with the optimal (balancing efficacy with possibility of side effects)...

working in a male dominated field?

My career is in marketing, but I have worked in two very male-dominated industries: engineering/manufacturing/construction, and accounting/corporate finance. It often feels like an old boys' club.

    Derrick Carter @ FW

I've seen DC more times than any other out of town DJ, and consistently delivers. This time was one of the best. Everyone went totally crazy to that mix of Red Alert, including me. I got there at about 5 to 11, and waited a total of one minute in line. Then within 20 minutes they were completely...

    UTI Prevention

I asked the walk-in clinic doctor and the pharmacist and got 2 different answers. The doctor said it was because it wasn't profitable for the manufacturer (but she was some weird 70 year old eastern european lady). The pharmacist said that it was because "antibiotics should be enough on their...
