Have you tried the Albany Clinic at Broadview and Danforth? They might be worth giving a call.

Pretty sure the clinic at the West end of Atrium (Bay/Dundas) is open. Isnt' there a Health Canada number you can call to find one?
Get well soon Sara! |

It never fails that the only times I ever need to see a doctor urgently is on a Sunday after 5pm, which means a guaranteed trip to the ER since all the clinics are closed then.
Oh, and a word to the wise: the walk-in clinic at the Atrium on Bay does not prescribe any kind of "narcotic". So if you're wandering around Yonge St with strep throat and delerious with a high fever, they won't give you anything for the pain. |

There is a brand new walk-in clinic, just opened a few weeks ago on Queens Quay, between Bathurst & Spadina.

Noticed this thread hasn't been updated in a while. It's now 2013 and I am having a hard time finding listings of walk in clinics in Toronto with Sunday hours.
I did a search for walk ins via the Health Care Ontario site within 10km of where I live in the west end. NOTE: I am only including clinics listed which mention they have SUNDAY hours. There are lots of other clinics that don't, or don't mention their hours specifically. I hope this list comes up in people's Google searches, and they can make use of it! ***SUNDAY HOURS AT WALK IN CLINICS IN TORONTO*** Queen Spadina Medical Centre Claim this business 455 Queen Street West Toronto, ON M5V 2A9 Tel.: 416-869-3627 Mon.: 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM Tue.: 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM Wed.: 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM Thu.: 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM Fri.: 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM Sat.: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM Sun.: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM ---------------------------------- Appletree Medical Group - Appletree Medical Group - Toronto Physicians, Family Doctors, Toronto Walk in Clinic, Medical Clinic, Health Directory - they have a *very* confusing website, with multiple doctors and locations. - It looks like the 275 Dundas St. West location does some Sunday walk-ins They also say: Calls will be answered: Monday to Thursday 8:30am- 7pm Friday 8:30am – 5pm Saturday and Sunday 10am – 2pm Appletree has one central number for your convenience: 647-722-2370. I thought that all Toronto walk-in clinics avoid dishing out narcotics?
If you need narcotics and cannot go to your doctor (or don't have one) then go to emerg. |

Hey Tribe! No problem. Glad to help -- and help myself!
So just to update: I ended up going to Appletree Medical Centre on Dundas West. It's right in the Village By The Grange mall. My experience there was mixed, and leaning toward negative. First of all -- as I recently moved here from out of province, my OHIP isn't in effect yet. Most clinics will take out of province cards, as the provinces (except Quebec) have an agreement in effect. Appletree however, would not. They have a "new policy" that they don't take out of province cards, and any patient in that situation must pay up front. I had little choice, so I agreed to pay, then I learned the price. Because on Sunday the walk in doctor (Dr. Hyman) was an internal medicine specialist, it would be $153 instead of the normal $69. More than double the normal fee, even though I was going in about a back problem and had no use for an internal medicine specialist. Of course this wouldn't matter much to someone with OHIP, but for me it was really awful. The doctor himself was alright, but I had to wait FAR too long, considering he gave me a total of maybe 6-8 minutes. Quickest $153 he ever earned? Probably not, unfortunately... The office is small but clean and decent enough, with a really tiny waiting room. The location is pretty convenient for downtowners, and the receptionist/assistant was helpful and nice. So not all bad, but their out of province policy just sucks. So I won't be back there. |
