I just got a pair on the weekend too, and the correct way to say it is written on the box. It's some ancient native word meaning something noble and majestic.

Q: How do I pronounce "Saucony"?
A: Saucony is pronounced: sock-a-knee (with the emphasis on the first syllable). It is named after the Saucon River in Pennsylvania and means "swiftly running waters."

This is why everything should be written in the International Phonetic Alphabet. Then there would be no confusion.

Unfortunately there are no ascii codes for most of the IPA symbols, so I can't illustrate its perfection on Tribe.

Does it matter at this point? You've already got them.
Now you can just refer to them as your "running shoes"

Saucony's are great.

Good traction, good insoles, breathable, lightweight.

good indoor crosstrainers.

I went to school in New England, which is where these are made - just outside of Boston, I believe (?)...and everyone there (and I mean everyone) wore Sauconys. It was just a little bit ridiculous. Anyway, they all pronounced it, 'sauce-ony'

But I believe the official website....I guess...

Or Nike, one syllable or two? (I vote for 2 syllables)
