Speaking of hot women: 2004 Pirelli calendar!

I have always been a fan but in the last few years, the work has been mediocre. Pretty dry stuff despite the high-profile photographers.

But this year, they got NICK KNIGHT (The Face, Bjork videos, Alexander McQueen collaborator) to do it and it looks fucking amazing. I read a feature on it in the National Post and the photographs are BEAUTIFUL. Soooooooo sexy.

The Theme:
Innovation and technology at the service of artistic creativity of Nick Knight, world-famous British photographer who made visual sculptures, born of a symbiotic relationship between traditional photography and digital art. His taste, combined with an approach typical of "conceptual art", has produced an unprecedented Pirelli Calendar that is vibrant in its color, abstract in its design and magical to the eye.

Knight posed his models in an ambience that is dreamlike and fantastic but unequivocally feminine in which the perspective of portrayed female sexuality - as traditionally perceived by men - is reversed. "I feared that the calendar might propose a vision of woman from the exclusively masculine viewpoint", Knight explains. "So for this project I decided to ask the women what they would like to see represented in a Pirelli Calendar, leaving them to choose the theme".

He asked everyone from writers to Bjork to Courtney Love to tell him about their sexual fantasies and he depicted them using models.

But the Photoshopping on the 2004 calendar is AMAZING. I think I'm gonna scan some of these pictures I clipped out of the newspaper.

alex, no offense but if you know what it takes to make a better calendar or do better photography than these guys, why aren't you out making tons of money off of your superior work?

I don't use a lot of photoshop on my stuff and never use models but I know what I like when i see it.

dan couto's stuff is an example of what can be done when you combine models with brilliant photoshop technique. He's Canadian too.
