sandman and venom in one Spiderman!!!!

either gonna be a wild flick, or an over-ambitious & cluttered flop.

here's hoping for a perfectly executed 3 hour spidey-epic!!!!

Keaton to play the Joker?

Michael Keaton may play the Joker in the next Batman movie.

According to Digitalspy Keaton, who played the hero in Tim Burton's Batman and Batman Returns, could play his former nemesis in the sequel to Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins.

Other stars in the running for the role include Mark Hamill, Steve Carell, Sean Penn, Paul Bettany and Lachy Hulme.

Keaton was amazing as this character.

I could see that working. The direction they're taking with the franchise, Sean Penn could work too. The dude from Gangster No 1 might be good too. He's actually playing Silas in DaVinci Code. I don't know who the last guy is. I think they could do without Steve Carrol, and Mark Hamill just had the right voice. I vote Gangster No 1 dude.

All the big name movies have been made, or remade. Now its mostly obscure or newer titles with little history.

Perhaps someone needs to tackle the Buck Rogers franchise.

there was a science fiction show... lasted
maybe 2 or 3 years... it was about a space
station... this was like... maybe early 80s.

one of the characters was this space chick
who had braided eyebrows and could
change into any animal...

wow, the next spidey flick is going to rule. i have loved all of sam raimi's ideas so far, including his interesting choice of sit-com actors to be venom and sandman.

btw, there are rumours of will smith being considered to play nick fury, which would piss the hell out of comic book fans.

it seems marvel is either bang on with their movies or way, way, off.

comic book fans were pissed at a black man being
kingpin, too... they got over it... of course, the movie
overall sucking probably helped.

saw the Highlander again this weekend. I don't know if he is classified as a superhero - but I think he is. Anywasys, its such a great movie. Love the Queen soundtrack.

i don't mind nick fury being black. after all, the character is black in the new 'ultimate' line of books. i just think will smith is not at all right for the role.

David Hasselhoff portrayed Fury in a 1998 Nick Fury TV movie. Phillip Abbot did Fury's voice in the 1994 Spider-Man and Iron Man animated series, Jim Byrnes did Fury's voice in the X-Men: Evolution animated series, and Mark Gibbion did Fury's voice in Spider-Man Unlimited. Paramount is also developing a live-action major motion picture.

Franky Cook, a character played by Angelina Jolie in the film Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, seems to have some elements of Nick Fury, including the uniform and eyepatch, and she commands a flying aircraft carrier which is reminiscent of the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier.
