Though the lyrics sound a bit different...It may be 'The Beginning Is The End Is The Beginning' from the same soundtrack.
Actually it was from Batman & Robin. (*blech*)

Good tune though.

still trying to wrap my head around that one. no hype, no interest. just looks boring and i've already seen sin city. why not do the sequel to that?
after 300 Miller became the go to guy for property in HWood. many of his books were sold off shelves and not reprinted so that when the lic. deals were done all books could be relaunched with new covers, etc.
different from AMoore, Miller loves the attention and is anxious to get everything he's done on screen be it big or in your home.
thing is i'm not sure FM has done anything notable since his DD, TDK, Ronin(coming soon to a theatre near you) or my personal fav 'Give me liberty' which REALLY should've been next for the silver screen. so good, GML might be the best of Miller. i'm ignoring his current Batman w/Lee.
my 2cenz.

the San Diego Comic-Con's on right now. seems to be a bit slower than other years, probably due to fallout from the writer's strike.

big news so far:

- sam raimi has announced that he wants to make spider-man 4

- footage released for WOLVERINE, including shots of gambit. hopefully this will be available online soon

- darren aronofsky is announced as director of the new ROBOCOP remake

- in the works: a Y THE LAST MAN movie

An Aronofsky-helmed Robocop sounds like my idea of heaven. Hopefully there's a scene where he gets his arm chopped off, except instead of being a morality tale about heroin, the arm would be replaced by a big fucking claw or some shit.

Also, I hope his partner Lewis gets some ass-to-ass action.

-God I want to see the footage of Wolverine
-the trailer they showed at CC of the new Punisher movie is really really violent...this could be ok

-JJ Abrams' new show Fringe is apparently really good, despite Pacey being in it

-the new trailer for The Spirit is awesome.

IF, and this is a big if, they can restore some prestige to the franchise after the shitshow that was Robocop 3, I'm all for it. Robocop is a great character and the original is still a favourite.

If this new movie can be a reboot of the series a la Nolan's Batman Begins, go for it. Gritty, realistic robot battles? I'll take two. Aronofsky has a great eye and I'd love to see what he does with this.

I thought that Sawyer from Lost was cast as Gambit. Too bad, I'd have liked to see how he handled that role.

Holy shit that trailer makes this movie sound amazing! I was hearing terrible things too like having to reshoot the weak action scenes.

*Must not get too excited*

Batman set the bar too high.

Robocop w/ Darren Araranofsky? I'm interested, but then again, he's been attached to a lot of projects and dropped out. If it makes it to the screen, I'll see it.

gah, why must they continue with remaking and strip-mining my childhood?
Love Aronofsky but my "watch no remakes" policy means I'd never watch it.

Sadly, because people still fall for the "maybe it'll be good" in huge enough numbers for the studios to make returns on the investment.

Remakes are considered low-risk investments in the movie industry, new movies with original plotlines, unfamiliar characters etc are high-risk and could potentially fail to return on an investment.

When producers control art, only "safe" choices are made and creativity stagnates.

This is why I flat-out refuse to watch remakes, no matter how good they may be. I'm voting with my ass not being on the seats and strongly encourage others to do the same, unfortunately with little success.
