Pho is the mightiest of all soups! Your princely-prancely little soups is the food of poor poets and dillitants, bow-spined toliet boys with no spirit or honour.
Like the mongol hordes a big bowl of pho would ride across the world of soup, raping and conquoring as it will, filling the bellies of true men with meat and noodles and those tasty green leaves. When allied with spring rolls Pho is utterly unstoppable. Perhaps the most powerful lunch in history! What pathetic ally could your potato and leek soup summon? HA!!! Maybe a piece of cheese and a cracker. Pho. |

Hahaha yea I get those (and I'm not pregnant either)
A few nights ago I had this bizarre craving for melted cheeze with slices of hot chilli in it...yeah and I made it - and it was good!!! Those cravings make me go mental, I will literally turn the house upside down looking for chocolate or salt...depending on what I want

3 tablespoons olive oil 2 cups finely chopped onions 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper 1 teaspoon curry powder 5 cups (or more) canned low-salt chicken broth 1 15-ounce can pure pumpkin or 16 oz purée'd cooked squash 1 cup frozen corn kernels 1/2 cup crushed tomatoes with added purée 1/2 teaspoon dried rubbed sage 1 cup (packed) grated extra-sharp cheddar cheese Heat oil in heavy large pot over medium heat. Add onions and bell pepper; sauté until vegetables begin to soften, about 8 minutes. Add curry powder and stir 1 minute. Add 5 cups broth and next 4 ingredients and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes to blend flavors, stirring frequently. Season with salt and pepper. (Can be made 1 day ahead. Cool slightly. Chill until cold, then cover and keep chilled. Rewarm over medium heat, adding more broth if soup is too thick.) Ladle soup into bowls. Top with grated cheese.

The only time I've had bad cravings (well except my monthly chocolate binge) was when I first cut carbs out of my diet around last november. It was pretty bad. I've never been much of a sweets person but I was craving things all kind. Terrible. So glad It didn't last to long.
