I was just woken up by someone calling me to tell me I didn't get a job that I applied for. Kind of weird but nice, what company calls you back to tell you you didn't get the job?

tis nice... a couple places have responded pretty quick to me... i'm still pissed that one position i really wanted.. when i called the dude back yesterday... because his recruiting company deals with IBM.. he couldn't recruit me for the job (since i still work here).. grrrrrrrrr

It depends I guess on how far you got in the process, but it's generally a good idea to do it if the person came for an interview. It saves them having to deal with 100 people calling to ask if they got the job.

Haha..I know what you mean. I really like wine, and enjoy wine tasting as much as wine guzzling. Unfortunately, I tend to "taste" the first glass, and then inhale the rest of the bottle.

Some friends and i frequently try to have a normal, responsible wine tasting... after 4 or 5 glasses, the tasting stops, and we just work on emptying the bottles.

FYI, I don't think a week is that long to wait, even if your going to get the job.
