My marks were so varied (from 50s to 90s), it's obvious which classes I liked.

Oh I went to College for 4 years.
But I got a Gov't job, so I couldn't be bothered to go back.

And I've been literally trying to get my diploma for 4 more years, but Sheridan College is the worst College in the world for getting information and organization out of.

I know, I worked for them while in College.

I'd love any diploma, it'd look good on the wall.

it's funny, something i've noticed about Ontario is that you can actually get a job with just a 4-year University degree. down here, even if you have a degree you're lucky to find anything. so the prospect of me not finding a job when i graduate keeps my grades up... i suppose it'd be different if i knew i'd have a livable wage upon graduation.

When I applied to jobs out of the university almost every job I applied for asked for a transcript.

It also depends on what program you want to take.

I have two degrees and I got shit marks throughout everything (high school and university).

I also have a challenging job that requires you to have at least one degree.

Personality goes a zillion times farther than good marks.

That is unless you want to go into something math or science oriented.

I would NEVER EVER work for a company that hired based on marks. NO FUCKING THANKS. What a horrible work environment that would be.

yeah i'm in the science field where there is no upward mobility unless you have a degree, and the further up you move (and the further up your paycheck moves) is solely dependant on how many years you spent in school and your educational qualifications. of course, some of it has to do with schmoozing but not nearly as much as the corporate world.

it's all relative depending on what field you work in.
