Photographers and choreographers...

So I've been put in charge of executing a marketing initiative at my place of employment: the job is, to get together a certain amount of people and get them to form a shape - the letter U in fact - kind of like the Coke commercials from a few years back, and get a photographer to shoot it from a plane.

has anyone got any experience with this sort of thing? anyone have any tips, ie: size differential when shooting things from up high? If I jsut get 200 people will it be hardly noticeable, do I need like double that or more like 2,000 people and how big should I make the shape, when I map it out?

obviously this is completely preliminary, but when starting a project, why not poll Tribers, you never know.

Anyways, I'm going to get on with researching this venture and in the meantime, if anyone has any experience I'm listening, or reading, or...whatever, thanks for your info!

You should get like 2000 people and get a photographer to jump out of the plane while shooting. Maybe give them a parachute. It'd be a good test of vibration reduction.

I have no experience but I'd suggest finding out how "big" you want the U to look compared to anything that will also be visable in the image.

I'm guessing if you're going from a plane, you'll need a lot of people.

If you do it from a building rooftop, less people needed.

I know this isn't what you are trying to do but the organizational principles are somewhat similar
