I miss hosting. When we lived at the Winchester we had people over somewhat frequently. But really, living in a Bach pad, its hard to have more than like 1 or 2 people over and be comfy. Especially when you're all smokers and no easy access to outside - the window-fan works pretty good, but still not perfect.

The balcony at this spot is a descent size also, more of a deeper/wider square then a long rectangular thing, should be able to fit a small table + 2 or 3 chairs no problem.

with Canadian Tire across the street, should be easy to buy balcony furnishings and bring them home

(Having people over somewhat frequently is also extra incentive to keep the place a bit cleaner. When it's just me being home all the time (and faunty being over), its easy to fall into a lazy routine of letting stuff pile up moer than it should, where if a friends coming over you usually do atleast a quick tidy if things are not upto snuff)

Dishwashers change the way you eat. Before I had one I was frugal with my use of plates, reusing the same one for different meals. If I had a bagel at lunch, I'd use the same plate for my tacos at dinner. Now that I have one, I use all the plates in the house, one for each carrot stick, then wash them all and use them again just for the fun of it.

Because I hate the earth and nature and the environment.

I want one sooooooo bad! Did your house come with the dishwasher, or did you buy one and have it installed?

The dishwashers themselves are pretty cheap (compared to fridges, washers and dryers) and I think the install costs more then the machine sometimes.

Ours came with the house and was installed kind of retardedly, but I love it so I don't care if they put it in front of the water shut-off valve so if we ever had to turn off the water we'd have to move the dishwasher.

Why would I bother with delivery when its directly across the street from where my new place is?

apparently there's good poutine there, a friend and i were making lunch plans in email yesterday and he mentioned he was craving poutine so he was going to go up to the burger stand by can ti for dinner. i asked him why he didn't just gop by Smoke's on the way home nad he said "I've been there, pretty good and would go there for poutine variations, but for basic, I like the burger stand beside Canadian Tire better (the "cook" there is from Quebec)."
