for some reason that CD is very Lo-fi on my disc players...I have been listening to both the perfect combination one form months back, and the ICE minus one form a few months back...both pretty tearin'

right now ive got on some Declaime...pretty weak effort but the lootpack track is OK and the madlib production is good.

    not diggin it....

why do breaks always sound like they were produced 10 years ago??

  15. Try the following:

    Adam Freeland - On Tour
    Adam Freeland - Tectonics
    Tayo - Y4K
    Koma and Bones - Y4K
Hybrid - Additional Production and Remix By
Hybrid - Wide Angle double CD
Anything by Robb G, D-Monic or Big League Chu
Plump DJ's - Urban Underground double Cd
Lee Coombs - Future Sound of Retro
Soul of Man - Finger Lickin' Thang

The above mentioned were some of my fave break CD's I have heard this year, and I have found best represented the Prog breaks/nu-school sound.

    From the Ministry of suggestion

  16. Also:

PMT - Original Masters mix CD
Lee Burridge - Nubreed 5 (more house, but some nice breaks on it)
Cass - Prologue (near the end of CD2 - hard, hard breaks)
Tyrant double CD is a wicked mix of Tech house, breaks and just about everything else

From the Ministry of nearly forgot

    Prime Minister Highsteppa

  17. Last ones:

BT - Movement in Still Life (UK version)
Way Out West - Intensify and the first album

The North American version of BT's Movement in Still Life stinks, they abandon the break/prog/trance sound for rap rock techno shit that just doesn't work.

From the Ministry of they tried to be prodigy and fucked it up

Raymond Scott - Manhattan Research Inc.

Crazy electronic music from the 50's and 60's. Lots of bizarre spacy ads for IBM, Sprite, Nestea, etc. Cool Record.
