Alright, I need some advice. I'm going stir-crazy and I need to get out of Waterloo. I want to travel for a couple months once exams are over (end of April) and I don't know where to go. Keep in mind I have a student budget. I'd like to find somewhere where I can work for those months in order to not go bankrupt!
Also, anyone know how long approximately it takes to get a work visa?

if you want to work and get away, try tree planting or spacing. it'll get you out west and outside.

the work is hard, but you relax that much harder and if you stick to it you cna make some great $$$$

    cruiselines and cottages

You could try a cruiseline! I hear its also pretty hard work, but you'd get to visit a few exotic ports and make some cash.

PS-this is the summer of cottage weekends for me. I can't wait!

That's an awesome idea. I'm gonna look into that for sure.

Hey, you making it up to Collingwood any time? I haven't run into you in a while. Well not since the days of visiting Steph in Scarberia. By the way, this is Amanda.

    Thailand!!

I know someone that went there for a while, and it was the time of their life. The only expensive part is the airfare, but I heard living expenses are dirt cheap.

Look into that too. Beautiful beaches!! My dream destination.

Plus I heard that their full moon parties kick serious ass.

    :)

I was just @ TravelCuts here to figure out my plans this summer -- you may want to speak to them and see what sort of flight deals they have to offer -- there's a great deal from Toronto to Taipei, with the option to take a stopover in London and stay as long as you'd like there (up to a year), and I'm sure they have other things priced well for students
