I have a bone to pick with you people.
i'm sure you could improve me a BUNDLE!
I'm a counter manager/cosmetician for Elizabeth Arden and I fuckin love it...I get to make my own hours, get free breakfast/coffee/(dinner sometimes), travel around York Region and T.O. a lot<-get re-imbursed and a full days pay for this of course. 2-4 weeks paid vacation + 1 float day per year, get put up in fancy hotels for free, get free stuff from my company at every meeting, get $250 worth of free stuff of my choice every 3 months, get commission. Paid sick days(up to 6 weeks), 1 1/2 hour breaks every day, no boss to tell me what to do. Give makeovers/facials/massages, and basically run a small business. I love my job!
oops.. man. that should read "man"
I work front desk for the largest property management company in Whistler. It's a cool job. I meet tons of people from all over the world. I also work with the teen centre in town. And I help with snowboard camps in the summer.
I love where I live and I love my jobs.
Call Centre and voice (learning much more about data everyday) network architect for a financial services company.
I do CAD work, mostly CADSTAR, which is a program to design schematics and printed circuit boards. If you don't know what one is, your motherboard is one.....
Also, AutoCAD and some tech writing.
I am a carpenter, well part of a three man trio. We build post and beam and custom homes. I get to work out all day long, although it comes in the form of hard labour.
None of your guys have an outside job. I guess it all has to do with where you live.
The only thing that I dont like about my job is one of the guys is an asshole.
Dont you think it is so important to have
co-workers you like?
But I make sweet coin.
Financial Service Rep/Mutual Fund Consultant
I Studied Urban Geography at McMaster.
Now working as a Route Sales Rep for Hostess Frito Lay.
I enjoy my job for the simple fact that I am not in an office all day with bosses hovering around. I drive a big ass truck full of chips and basically bring joy to the snack massive. Sure there is some bullshit about hitting numbers and driving sales but come on, they're just chips right? They practically sell themselves.
This is not what I want to do for the rest of my life but it pays the bills and buys records until I go back to school next year to find my true calling.
Does being a superstar DJ count as a career cuz that's my next move.
Dude, that's fuckin' hilarious. I was once in Urban Geography @ Mac, and also drove the ol' Hostess truck.
Dan, i got another one of those line of credit dealies..i have to show it to you..i dont know what it wants..
My parents have been in the convenience business since before I was born and told me that David Cronenberg of Naked Lunch fame used to deliver Hostess to one of their stores on Avenue Road back in the 70's.
Convenience Store business, that is. Problems typing today.
Probably something in the water.
u finally found a position??
"freelance" is a euphemism for "unemployed"... I prefer using the term "consultant" myself.
Oh, by the way, I'm a consultant. And I'm starting up a business called "Guesstimation, Inc."...
I will tell you--for a small consultation fee-- whether your idea will fly. Any idea you got, for $40, I'll give you my guesstimate as to feasibility...
For an extra $100, I'll write you a 5 page report, complete and replete with grandiose verbiage, lightly douched and dusted with awkward alliterative phrases.
