Traxx is Closed.
Shut Down by building management!
I wonder why?!?!?!?!
Oh well, DJ Depot is way better anyhow.
because it sucks
heh. heh. yep!
Raul was good to me, he used to get me lots of Chicago/LA Hard House.
pr0nstar Vinyl is Vinyl!
that's too bad, as another toronto originator disappears...i know traxx was pretty lousy the last few years, but when i started buying records starsound was "the" place to go...always the best in house...always the best in the early days of "rave"/techno...& always good for hip hop...i actually got my invitation to my first rave when buying some tracks...the girl basically reached under the counter & said i would probably like this, something called nitrous 012
competition for the djs (professional & bedroom) dollar is fierce in Toronto today, & although it is sad today to hear it has closed, it was tough watching this once great store, slowly lose it's way...
Raul ws good to a lot of people. Probably one of the reasons why they closed.
Traxx was my fav place to go. It was the only place that didnt make me feel out of place or an idiot for not know much about spinning and crap.
ohhh excuse me for not owning a record player, i'd like to I just dont have 800 bucks right now.
Now where will I get my mixed cd's?!?!?
I liked Traxx because I could always usually find the house that I like there!
Too much competition in one area!
shitty buzz... I waled by there last night and saw the notice on the door. Rich ain't gonna be to thrilled...
Peace & love. D
what ever, I n never liked that store.
they didnt pay their rent.
Don't even worry. This isn't the first time that has happened. I live just around the corner and walk by there almost everyday. This is the third time I've scene it happen. They will probably be open again in a few days just like normal.
jeremy -one day it will be final- jive
Yeah, the paper posted on their door said that they hadn't paid they're rent, and therefore were not allowed on the premises until they did so...and it was date January 15th.
Hey do they have a website? Djdepot
Yeah Jo, where is it? A friend of mine recommended it highly, and I would love to check it out.
And a website would be fabooooooooo
It's in downtown Brampton that much i know...
yeah I know, thats no good
brampton on steeles
dj depot is okie...needs sum listening stations!
I always felt bad for Traxx. They reminded me of one of those kids that try too hard to be cool.
But one look at their prominently displayed Jennifer Lopez LPs was always enough to stop me from feeling sorry for them.
release is the only store in toronto for what i need anyways
you can keep it - I hate having to 'ask' people to hand me records from a shelf.
its not near downtown brampton, well, downtown brampton is 1 block so its easy to miss.

Yo Brian, I's sent you some mail... do respond or suffer my wrath!
They have no problem with you walking behind to grab your own stuff. Very accommodating there.
