if you read this thread you would find this answers to all those questions.

but what relevance are they? do you have to be gay to be happy that justice is done?

do you have to be black to appreciate the brilliant civil rights work of martin luther king jr. and malcolm x?

every single person in canada should be happy that the courts upheld our charter of rights and freedoms. end of story.

FIRST PERSON TO GUESS WHO PEST *REALLY* IS WINS A COOKIE...

And his little cover stories about getting married and shit are all patently false. Somewhat imaginative, considering he is borderline retarded, but false nevertheless.

    But, nice try.

Pest my man, why do you insist on trying to make this analogy??!! Bathhouses and strip clubs are two TOTALLY different things. I can't believe I'm pointing this out to you, since I KNOW you already realize this and are just trolling for reactions, but just to make it clear to anyone reading this who doesn't...

At a strip club, cover charges go to the owners who use this money, as well as the $ from liquor sales to, among other expenses, PAY WAGES TO THE STRIPPERS. Hence there is some MONETARY EXCHANGE between customers and providers of sexual-related services.

At a bathhouse, the cover charges and alcohol $ simply pay for holding the event. When two people are having sexual relations there, NO MONEY IS BEING EXCHANGED BETWEEN THEM, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY. Hence no laws concerning the selling of sexual services are being violated.

    Vive la difference

    No...not at all.
Was just curious...I guess I must have skipped the part where she's bi, has lots of queer friends and has attended this place.
Regardless of who was involved, justice obviously has been servered.
And thx for the answers Janiecakes.
I figured there was more to your posts than injustice. [IMG]

The courts did not hold up anything. To tell you the truth any idiot could find them a charge of a common bawdyhouse, as well as serving liquor afterhours. I don't care the law is for everyone. What a stupid judge, just as stupid as the judge in BC that ruled kiddie porn is legal. I don't care where the money is going for the cover you charge, neither does the law if there is sex in a public place or if alcohol is being served after your permit it is against the law.
We should not be protecting special interest groups the law is the law and it is for everybody. I don't care if you are black or white, gay or straight the law is there for a reason and we should all follow it, or pay the price. I am sick of two standards one for gays and one for straights.
The pussy palace disserved to be closed down as well as system or government or any club if the same garbage was going on.

Thanks for clearing that up, because I didn't really know what bath houses were about.
Now I understand the club can't get charged...but can the patrons be charged for having sex in public?

(sorry if this has already been answered, I'm too tired to read the whole thread).

Disclaimer: I'm not a lawyer - but I'm pretty sure a Pussy Palace event is a PRIVATE event, so one in there can be charged for having sex "in public" (Pest are you reading this?!)

Maybe Klubmasta Will knows the details and can correct me if I'm wrong.
