How long does it take for MDMA to clear your bloodstream/urine?

I seem to recall it being in/around a month?

Lets just say I've been a bad boy several weeks ago (only took a half) and I'm kind of worried because it's for a new life insurance policy I'm trying to take out. They're taking blood and urine samples and I'm not sure if I'll 'pass' even though I admitted to using on the application.

are you sure that insurance companies ask to screen for that in the blood samples?

would they even test for that?

but I'm sure it won't be in urine a month later....blood and hair maybe.

then again, I don't know anything....:)

I don't they they'll take you even though you openly admitted you took it. They'll categorize MDMA with coke and acid and shit.

    good luck though

to answer you question though, I don't know. I've hear a lot of varying answers so mine wouldn't be of any help.

I think that it is about the same as coke...about a month. Am I gonna get in trouble for saying coke in this thread:confused:

I'm pretty sure that weed stays in your body for the longest amount of time (approx 1 month). Most other narcotics only stay in your system for about a week tops.

THC and steroids are fat soluble, can stay in your body for months.

MDMA should be cleared out of your system within 3-7 days, increase your water intake to help turnover. However, most drug testing companies have techniques to check to see if someone is diluting their urine or recently tried to change over their body water (creatinine levels can indicate this). Just say you workout a lot (hopefully you can back this up).

You can probably find more detailed information @ erowid or bluelight.

I said 2 times per year. I think they'll probably screen for it since I already admitted to it.

It's a nice 100K policy, so I want this thing. I should have said fuck all! :( So much for being honest!

Actually, cocaine lasts in your bloodstream/urine for in/around 2-3 days. Which is why a lot of pro athletes use it for a bit of partying because if they get tested, it won't show in their urine or bloodstream.

Anyway, we're talking about MDMA here not coke!

Thanks Deep. I can always count on you for reliable drug information!

I'm usually quite informed myself, but I haven't read up on these things in a while as I'm not into drugs like I used to be.

    Drugs are bad, mmkay?

Maybe a better question is, does anyone here work in the insurance industry?

Do you know what they scan your bodily fluids for when they check to see if you're insurable?

as a former insurance underwriter, i can tell you that they will accept you test negative. however, you will be considered a "risk", and will be charged accordingly. your rate will more than likely be substantially higher than if you hadn`t said anything at all. in these situations, it is usually best to lie, as they would decline you anyways should you test positive.

the key is WHEN did yuo say you consumed drugs, if it`s 2+ years, you should be ok rate wise. if less than that, hold on to your horses.

should you decide to apply for a policy with another company and not mention your drug use, it is too late. all underwriting information is stored in a kind of central clearing house, so that all companies know about "risk" customers who have been declined elsewhere.

put all that together, and you are pretty much screwed rate wise for now. unless you have a VERY generous underwriter who isn`t following guidelines.

ps - oh and to answer your original question, 4-7 days for irregular use or anything less than 1.5 pills is the norm for total system clearance of MDMA. i think you are ok on that front.

I'm far from a habitual user, so I think I should be okay.

As for rates, I've already been told what it will be.

Thanks for the info Mike. That's EXACTLY the answer I was looking for. This is all very new to me.

It pisses me off that they don't recognize that smoking is a greater risk than taking drugs, but I suppose it's all down to what's more socially acceptable.

you can be quoted one thing by the agent, but that can change based on the underwriting. it is the underwriter who decides what class you are, and not the agent. an agent will always quote you a lower rate to try to sell a product...which company did you apply to if you don`t mind my asking? i worked as an underwriter for both Clarica and Manulife, so i might be able to give you more specific info via pm or email.

actually be gald you are not a smoker, cause they get the absolute WORST rates, all based on their blood work. but some companies even offer them a program where if they quit within 1 year of the start of their policy, they qualify for a better rate! (they need more blood work to prove this)

    crazy stuff

i`m glad i don`t work in the insurance biz anymore.....

    Manulife is the company.

You didn't happen to live in Waterloo by chance, did you? Insurance is the main industry here...
