A friend of mine asked me to post this,
He's upgrading his PC cuz he's a geek
and need's to brag to people on
    Newsgroups who he'll never see.

    3 months old... works flawlessly.

    More features:
Socket A for AMD Duron/Athlon CPUs
    266MHz FSB, PC2100/PC1600 DDR SDRAM, and ATA/100

it weighs like 50 pounds, and I used to have to bring it to a bunch of diferent places during the week, so I fastened that wooden handle to the outer caseing, and reinforced the outercasing to the inner fram with 6 metal self tapping screws. I also had a laptop HD as the boot drive, cuz it has greater shock resistance so it wouldn't corrupt as easy when I would move it from place to place.

That picture is geek alert.. it goes without saying..

Did I also mention that the wooden handle is actualla trowel handle rated for 400 Kilos of pressure? [IMG]

and the case has a big MACINTOSH sticker on the front. It acts like a mac-user magnet so whenever they comeover to look at it I slam them hard on the head with my keyboard while repeating "WHAT ARE YOU THINKING!!!!"

if anybody is looking to sell an older pII motherboard (or as kenny says, mobo) or 4-10 gig hardrives....i'm buying.

I have a PII MOBO sitting at home collecting dust(not literally like kenny)..
It works perfectly. Accepts up to 300Mhz of the first generation of PII chips.

It's only a CPU, the dust will do it no harm [IMG]

Now the heat and stuff from the fridge, who knows [IMG]

the last time i opened up my pentium 166 to make an adjsutment, i decided to pop the fan over the chip off and take a look. the amount of fine dust under there was unbeleivable! the cooling vanes were caked with it. [IMG]
i cleaned it carefully and tightened all the ports and openings....but i've noticed no differences in performance.

[IMG] who wants to guess what exactly is in here?
    - Maybe he's really a nomad (hence all the stickers) and his whole life is in this 'box'.
    - It's Pandora's box and he's not sharin'
    - Top-secret nuclear blueprints...
