What do you mean by a proper party?

The opposite of a marketing scheme disguised as a party.

I would love to see those two again they played a great set at "All Funked Up!" in 99'

But if Terry Mullen came back to Toronto
    I would go absolutly nuts!!

I mean, we all love the big names, but hell, there has to be some killer talent out there that should rock the planet when given the chance!

(oh yeah, and I want to see more electro-tech)

  20. Want to see:

Sasha & Digweed - touring to support their new mix cd.
    Darren Emerson
Goldie - it's been too long
    Chemical Brothers live
    Layo & Bushwacka!
    Koma & Bones
    Plump DJ's
    Lemon Jelly

sasha+digweed at same party = $50000 US just for themselves, not including transport, indicentals etc etc...not much room left for anyone else

i'm with hardtekfunk, there are TONS of, for lack of a a better description, 2nd Tier dj's out there, who not being as well known as the big boys, can blow shit up on any given night.

we always see the same talent in toronto (nothing wrong with that at all i may add), so for once it might be nice for a promotor to dare a little and venture out into the lesser known dj pool to bring us some fresh sounds, not a whole line up of it, that wouldn't be fiscally viable i am sure, but a couple per event would shake things up nicely i think. that, and someone mentioned the locals 2nd room or have 1 local warm up the main, having either of those is a fawking killer idea....

ps Inland Knights would be sweet.....maybe if i mention them enough times someone will actually look into it?
  22. I know that this might sound obtus, but I've seen Sasha a few times and I honestly think he could support a night pretty much on his own, like a 6 hr. set, same goes for Digweed. When I saw him @ Guv in 1997, he tore the roof off the place.

No doubt. And I am more than open to seeing new blood getting their chance to prove and strut their stuff. There's nothing more satisfying than seeing someone who's up and coming and being able to tell right there and then that they are going to be huge and hearing it for yourself.

Question: do you mean internationally or locally? Either is good to me.

in answer to your question, i was referring to international talent, but come to think of it, it applies to the local crew as well. always the usual suspects droppin beats (in style!), but some change once in awhile wouldn't hurt either...
