Labels that rock your boat right now
There are a few labels out there right now that I almost will buy anything they put out sight-unseen. Some of the one I'm digging right now are:
Turbo: Anyone who knows what I listen to will go 'yeah yeah big surprise ' but after over a year of not releasing stuff they've put out the best stuff they've ever released as far as I'm concerned.Boxer Sport: Lots of interesting minimal stuff that's got lots of melody and occasionally some pretty dirty basslines. I especially like the stuff Duoteque has put out with them. Great Stuff: They've released a couple of lemons lately but when they put out something good it's usually great. And their covers are always pretty cool. Lot 49: This is usually a breaks label but as breaks producers are getting bored with breaks (for good reason) they've released some interesting tech-house numbers as well. The latest Jono Fernandez and 30Hz releases would go over really well in a tech set. Ed Banger: Flame away rock-no/electro haters. This stuff is dirty party music. Love it. So who are you buying from? |

Don't Recordings
Tonewrecker Input-Output Bowwow Scandinavia Records I'd say those are the cream of the crop for me right now. Judged by quality and consistency of their recent output. Scandinavia has been in my top list for ages the others are recent as of the last 1-3 years. |

I 2nd the Boxer Sport recommendation, and Kickboxer (their sublabel) has had some good output too..
Duoteque is a pretty prolific act and I get excited everytime I see they have a release coming up... Can't say I agree on GSR, not too many of their tracks have lasted for me, though I admit to guiltily liking some of the stuff in my "honeymoon" period with new tracks..![]() Aside from that: Spielzeug Systematic Connaisseur Rekorder Maschine (doesnt seem to get much mention despite some serious frickin bangers!) And ya, Ed Banger is generally pretty awesome but my fave records havent been the most recent..

Forward thinking labels that bring soul, melody, deepness and funk such as:
Sub Static, Cadenza, Resopal, Moon Harbour, Shiktapult, Karat, Tunning Spork, Soma and Perlon. |
