My house is built of records AKA I still buy em do you?

It would seem that not many are grabbing new vinyl. It would seem that not many care to share what they're finding...or as I believe have just gotten too lazy to post their latest acquisitions.

I figured a new new vinyl thread might kickstart things.

my current packages in the mail contains...

Edit "Player1 / Player2" Coin Operated
Various "Brothers , Husband And Sons , We Are Acid" Membrane
Cari Lekebusch "" Kaun Trax 1
Humate "The Sound Remixes" Superstition
Mark Hawkins & Lusinda "Influences" victim
Various "Midi meets big chief" miditonal
syntax error "shoeicide" feinwerk
various "?" zinch 1
debasser "klr" input-output
some double pack on Telepathic

and 3 sitting at bbb's place (i forget what they are now even)

...I've lost track of everything I think. There should be a few more. I'll just have to wait for them to arrive I think.

oh well. so is anyone else keeping pace? anyone find anything intersting?

Most recently, I've bought:

recycled loops 17 - Marko Nastic
a new lekebusch

ahhh, a whole bunch more that are on the housey techno tip, but the names escape me.

Actually, I don't think I've mentioned it. But I have heard it. It's ok but I'm not really going out of my way to order the low end minimal type stuff anymore. Too much of my kooky shit coming out and the minimal just hasn't been keeping my attention as of late.

I know I did grab one of them yeah. I'll be damned if I can remember which one though.

in that vein....I did grab the Troy Pierce "Run" Ep. One track on it made me grin ear to ear. The newest Proptronix (Stop Disco Mafia) is dope too.

Hell, I'm still buying vinyl...maybe I shouldn't? I guess with final scratch, or other cd-replacement options...hmmm....

spinnin LPs as of late

...due to the two drinks spilled in two days on my right 1200

on a brighter note:

got some free records in the mail today from AJ (soul choice)

-2 Telex albums (one has moskow diskow)
-telephone and musique non stop 12"s from Kraftwerk
-Tyrone Brunsons LP off of Epic with The Smurf
-JM Silk 12"
-and some deep oldschool rap shit. (Chuckchillout with Donald D in 86) one of them has a great Rockit remix/scratch mix.
-a New Order 12"

she's the dopest for sending random old records for my collection!

I got a FREE record the other night at Vague Terrain!!!

Tinkertoy were throwing out their record to the crowd.
I was barely standing to the right against the wall after briefly drunken dancin (swaying?) and they announced they were going to do it toss up/bouquet styles. I surlyly slur "I ashually 'Ave terntables!?" and the toss is directed to the girls up front. BONK! Off the ceilings exhaust and curveball to my palms!

It's a great record off of Noisefactory. Cured my draft beer hangover the next day! Very lush and melodic techno ?

also bought recently - from Hogwash and others...

-Platzhirsch - Schallplatten - Ltd #3 - produced by Pachulke and Sohn. - sublabel of Kompakt
-Gang of Four - ENTERTAINMENT! (DAMAGED GOODS!!!!)
-300% Dynamite Reggae comp off of the always reliable Soul Jazz, mainly for Sister Nancy and Wayne Smith.
-Dazz - Let it Whip (Motown promo whitelabel)

I have got a new CD that hasn't left the cd players.

Red Ants - Phobios Deimos

Modulok and Vincent Price from Guelph/Kitchener/Toronto (everywhere) kick some serious jams out on this monster of a hip hop album.

No frontin about guns and shit.

Beats and Rhymes are both balanced.

longest post in a while...

Some of the better 12" I've picked up in the last month or so:

Kiko & Gino's - Good Sluts Factory - Gigolo
Mario Piu - I Don't Want To Come Back - Hot Banana (I loves my electro)
Motor - Sweatbox/Yak - Novamute (both sides of this record make my pants tight)
Jennifer Cardini & Ho - Stay w/ Roman Flugel remix - Crosstown Rebels
Audion - Just Fucking again w/ Roman Flugel remix - Spectral Sound
Jasmin & Jul - I wish we were dancin' - Lipstick (This label only has two releases so far but I'm going out on a limb and calling it the next Turbo of record labels)

I bought Gwen Stafani's album

bah what has happend ---- *hangs head in shame* i do not buy records much at all anymore, i really want to purchase a CDJ - a lap top and final scratch -- so when i buy records i feel ike shit this could be money going towards other forms of technology for more music !! I do not want to give up on records i just want to expand - as everywhere you go these days there is always turn tables and cdjs set up - so i am like what am i doing??? i could have even more music and be saving my back some stress by carrying not as many records...

well thats what i am saying for now

furtherest thing from it. I said nothing about recording tracks for him. I said giving him a list of things (artists/labels) to dig up.

There hasn't been a great deal of really good stuff out lately, but i think once the distribution thing kicks in some mo(as in, next week and beyond), there'll be new stuff worth picking up.

I'm speaking mostly from a house perspective, but i always check tech and techno as well, and i'm finding it more or less across the board.

The new Martinez on Cartridge is a nice record though.
Not something i'd play, but nice.
