Steve Poindexter / Eric Martin - Whiplash / Emergency - Muzique
Steve Poindexter & Jamal Moss - Faces Drums - Muzique Records
Various Artists - The House Of Muzique - Muzique
Paul Birken - Ebgagged - Iron Oxide

bbb pointed out a while agoa that Muzique was back in business. I had my doubts but it's even better than it was the first time around. go RZ-1!!!

the first time I heard it I thought it had potential (some new sounds etc.) but after two or three listens it just got sorta annoying and cheesy sounding.

Nice list. I've picked up all of those except for the Solid Groove track. I'm still riding the fence as to whether or not I like it.

That Snoop Dogg track continues to rock me.

really?

i've found upon subsequent listens that i enjoy it more. the percussion seems really fresh to me and i dig how the structure of the tune really deviates from some of the more monotonous grooves and indulgent breakdowns that i've heard recently.

i know audion has done a bunch of work with spectral sound and ghostly, how is matt dear involved with the project?

Audion's remix of 2 Dollar Egg's "Naxos" on Nummer is KILLER!!

And so is Someone Else's remix on the other side - LONG (clocks in at 9:40) but GOOD!!

Anyway, like audion's track on that Nummer record better than "just fucking" - which never got its hooks in me...

It's the main synth. at first i thought it pretty cool. but after subsequent listen it's appeal faded. the drum paaterns weren't enough to keep me interested. I think I wanted to like it and after a few, realized I was trying too much.

today in the mail:

Fred Giannelli "Telepathic Wisdom Vol. 1" Superstition

and bbb's copy of ....

Daniel Bell "The Lost Traxx Ep" Klang
(he finally has it! no more mp3's for him...someone pat this boy on the back)

Some of my more recent grabs:

noah pred - inner workings ep - consigned (fantastic EP)
the field - things keep falling down - kompakt (weird goodness)
pong - submission ep - contaminated muzik (B1 is guaranteed to get your ass shaking)
heiko laux - still lively - kanzleramt
heinrichs & hirtenfellner - timeless - tonkonsum
tony rohr - let's try something different - ha
agoria - les beaux jours - pias

That stuff is a mix of house, techno, techhouse, minimal, etc. In other words, "techno".
