Yeah I was ready for him to gas after the third. If he does dominate the division (who gets the shot next? Belcher?) and goes up to welter again, GSP could be in some trouble.

Belcher is a MW and GSP would kick BJ's ass just like last time.

Personally, I don't think BJ deserves another shot @ GSP.
He's lost twice. What's he want, a best of 5 if he wins? Wow BJ you'd be 1-2. I mean, i know in BJ's mind he won the first fight and was cheated in the 2nd. He's so warped that if he won the 3rd fight he'd consider himself 1-0. As much as I want GSP to pound him into oblivion again, it's not worthwhile for GSP to even bother with BJ anymore. |

i can see the argument for bj fighting a third time. The first fight was a razor thin split decision in which many people thought BJ won. The second was domination but GSP did grease intentionally or otherwise (whether the greasing affected the fight is up for debate, but he did have vaseline rubbed all over his torso).

I think it was more that Hendricks was questioning why Diego kept on trying for a single when it's a known fact that is a low percentage takedown against BJ. But yet, going for the single is better than getting your face caved in. But that happened anyway.
Props to BJ for the win - I really thought Diego had a chance. Sadly mistaken. |

Sanchez was almost finished in the first round with a few real hard-ass shots. You have to wonder how that affected the rest of his performance since when guys get rocked like that, they often go right back to their instincts and forget the game plan.
I don't know if he even remembers anything after the first round, and I bet it had at least some effect on his strategy. |

Well we did learn that BJ can side step and counter punch. Diego kept going straight at him with 3-4 punches, but BJ was gone after the first.

BJ looked really good, nobody can question that, against arguably someone who a lot of people including myself, felt was going to give him a real tough fight...he turned Diego into his bitch!
Off the top of my head, I can't think of anyone that can be put up against BJ...Florian wants another shot, get lost, BJ killed you and if there is a next time, it will only be worse...I wouldn't agree with GSP again, I doubt it would be close, GSP KILLED him last time and GSP has a couple of fights ahead of him in his own division first that he should fight before a 3rd with BJ is even considered but knowing Dana and some of the ridiculous match ups he puts together that aren't really warranted, only put together to make money, (Chuck Tito 3, Belfort Silva etc etc) you never know. Say what you will about Mir, he looked DAM good, killed Congo...I felt he was going to win but shit, not like that...I wonder who they will match him up against next... Great card...too bad the next one looks like shite |

Saw a great stat on another website, BJ actually punched himself more times in the head (11) than Sanchez landed in the entire fight. g. |

three fighters that I think could give BJ a fight in the future but right now I dont think theres anyone...isssss
Nate because of his boxing skills Maynard because he can lay on him GSP styles Edgar again because his boxing and wrestling none of these guys stand a chance right now but with more seasoning could make it an interesting fight I think a BJ vs GSP down the road is retarded and should not happen ever but I would not be disappointed to see BJ get his face smashed again |

The UFC is in a tough spot with its lower weight divisions. 3 champions (Penn/GSP/Silva) that utterly dominate and have no real competition, with no definitive up and comers that are anywhere near ready to challenge them. It will be interesting to see how the UFC handles it. I would suspect the fighters will get restless and want to move around weight classes like Silva, but this just opens up more problems. Unless we see a massive catch weight card. That would be interesting.
It's funny how the once painful heavyweight division has become one of the more interesting ones. Too bad Lesner is out of commission. Given how long they are talking for his recovery I wouldn't be surprised if they pull another interim-heavy weight champ battle until he's up and running |

I hate Vera, too bad lil Nog is out, he would have eaten him for lunch...still should be a good match though against JJ... I'm SLOWLY starting to feel that the UFC is stacking their PPV's a bit better...I was saying to my whole crew (we watch all the PPV's together) that the UFC really should start cutting down on the number of PPV's, one a month is too much and that's the reason for only one really good fight on each card... To compete or show the fans something a bit extra, they should continue to give out every other or 1 in 3 PPV's for free...not just put them on free TV when main events fall through and they can't put anything together to be able to charge for it...just my op |

as amazing as bj looked saturday, does he deserve to move up and get another crack at gsps title? well, given that there are no real contenders for his title... it's a hard choice. I think they should move bj up to ww but make him win a match or two before getting a title shot.
at the same time, why would bj deserve to vie for a second title, for a second time, when gsp hasnt had a single chance yet and there is noooooo oooooone at ww to battle gsp. there giving him dan fucking hardy... seriously? who has he beat? mike swick? wow... so that is what i say. gsp vs silva at mw, bj vs koscheck |

Just heard on CBC radio that Vancouver city council has voted to allow UFC events!
So we could be looking at a Vancouver show in June or July of this year. |

More on the Score/WEC deal...
--WEC has signed a Canadian television deal with The Score. They will not be airing Saturday's show as the deal goes into effect with the 1/10 show from Sacramento. However, they will be airing the Match of the Year special that aired earlier this week on Versus, at 10 p.m. Eastern tonight. |
