not familiar with the Chocolate Tribe release, but speaking of Conquistadores Chocolate, can't deny the funky build of
Johnny Hammond's original...and who speaks spanish can figure out WTF is being said in the beginning?

it's on a zillion of those Loft or jazzfunk compilations out...also on Kerri Chandlers Excursions mix cd....should be ez to find on a boot too. The full album "Gears" has recently been reissued too, so should be easy to grab. It is amazing with production by the legendary Mizell brothers.

some other titles i could use...

'... everybody works in the underground... c'mon dance to the house... '

'... dance.. mutha.... mutha.. muthamuthamuthamuthamutha dance..... i said dance... mutha.. '

'...... i wake up in the night... and i find myself alone....i remember all the time we spent and now your love is gone.....i cant forget... i cant forget....'

'..... you-cant-tell-us-how-to-play-im-just-gon-na.... BOOM... BOOM... BOOM... BOOM ... you-cant-tell-us-how-to-play-im-just-gon-na... BOOM ..boom ..BOOM ..boom...'

'... H... H..... O....O......U...U.......S.....E..E..... I pledge allegiance... to the house crew.... it's the only sound... that makes me move..... it makes me strong... it takes me high..... the music moves us all.... by and by.....I pledge allegiance....to the house sound.... it's the groove ... that will always be around...... so I'm the one.... to announce..... that YOU CAN'T STOP THE HOUSE.... (and then some DIRRRRRTY hip-house beat comes in)'.

that's kind of what i was thinking but i thought i was confusing a song with an artist. i dont have the record so i couldn't check it out myself. i'm pretty sure tricky disco was aka technohead (of "i wanna be a hippy" hhc fame), and for that reason i wasn't sure if we were thinking of the same tricky disco.

everbody's gotta remember "i want to be a hippy and i want to get stoned on mari-marijuana" < yikes! at that song.
