Hows that song go..."I can do it!...I'll do it tonight, I don't know...I can do it!...I'll do it tonight, I don't know" Thats fucking freedom. Mess with the music and the people and your looking for trouble.

not all house, but early on i don't believe there was much concern over genre classification.. It was all house, everything was so new and diverse !
Inner City - Big Fun LFO - LFO Rhythim Is Rhythim - Strings Of Life MK - Burning Nightmares on Wax - Aftermath Black Riot - A Day in the Life Frankie Knuckles - Your Love AlyUs - Follow Me Raze - Break 4 Love Nick Holder - Cloud 9 A Guy Called Gerald - Voodoo Ray Funky Green Dogs From Outer Space - Reach For Me CeCe Rogers - Someday Jay Williams - Sweat Bobby Konders - The Poem (didn't want to add Blunted dummies again..) Many Maxell's were used to capture FEAR Edit, and Headley's all night dance party shows in the late 80s/early90s.. |

so many great tunes listed and no ten city? right back to you & that's the way love is are both anthems...
also one i was glad to track down on vinyl a few years back - jimi polo - free yourself... & moving into the early 90's tracks like # 1 - do you know what i mean, deep south - believe, and so many others...the list is literally endless...

the flipside 'better days' is killer too. i always prefered the instrumental to 'free yourself', not that the vocals are bad, it was just more about the piano for me. |
