Mike Disco "Lifestyle" EP with Mark Farina Mix out now on Full Flavor Music
![]() all tracks available at... www.stompy.com www.traxsource.com www.primalrecords.com www.junodownload.com Press release/Description: Full Flavor Musics premiere effort for wrapping up the summer of 2009 throws down the quality jackhammer for the year ahead with a masterful display across Italo deep-disco, west coast style house rhythms, and a killer remix from a Chicago legend. “Lifestyle” is just a taster of Full Flavor's newest artist, Denvers own Mike Disco. Mike Disco, aka producer and serial collaborator Michael Barnhart, continues to “push the boundaries of a revolutionary fresh sound involving house” with a future forward two tracker aided by the vocals of Ridiculous Rose. The Chemistry between the two is undeniable, making “Lifestyle” and “Tigers” a couple of sophisticated dancefloor jams that is reminiscent of the sound from the greater days of such clubs as The Hacienda in Manchester or New Yorks Paradise Garage. “Lifestyle” is similar to a combination of Metro Area meets Alexander Robotnick, very tracky and bassline driven with spacey synth and vocal parts coming in here and there. “Tigers” displays the vocals of Ridiculous Rose along with a big building acid bassline. Mikes unmistakable sound has been widely supported by the likes of Hercules & Love Affair, Juan Maclean, and Tony Humphries. While the original tracks have quite a distinct “Futuristic Retro” sound to them Mark Farina, one of the most well respected names in House Music gives “Lifestyle” a stripped down and funky driven remix thats very Midwest/Chicago sounding at its best. Built by a jacking groove Mark uses the vocal sample in a very clever manner on top of his signature production and sought after sound. Farina is nearly exclusive to OM Records so it is a big treat to have him working such a quality production under the Full Flavor wing. Radio Support for the release...
