you should play as a female next so you can romance Alistair. He's so dreamy.

Ugh, I hate you all right now. It's times like this that makes me angry for owning a mac.
I'm dying to play this game. It's been forever since Baldurs gate and NWN and the urning is too great.

As a man who has a plaqued map of faerun on his wall; I feel as if it's my duty to somehow find a way to play this game.

Is a Radeon x1600 any good? thats what my lap is running. I'm so out of the loop with video cards.

The other day I bought a 9800GT with 512megs memory - runs the game perfectly with everything maxed out.

Played this game loads yesterday. Its weird, regardless of how much I play it, it still feels like I've barely played it.

I keep getting stumped on what choices I want to make - now and then I'll get cocky, but then be all too goodies-to-shoes and being nice to everyone. I already want to go back and try a few different wasys of progressing through the dialogs.

Just finished the part in the fade with the Sloth demon -- that area was pretty cool.

I had to tweak the tactics a lot to make things manageable. But I find combat is way easier if you are/or control the mage in your party.

I've been playing this game for about a week now for 360, and had started to form some negative opinions. After reading the thread here I am inclined to think that the console game is the problem. My buddy at work is playing the PC version and is ecstatic about the gameplay, battle sequences etc. Set aside the fact that unlike Fable, I can't even splash into the water before hitting the invisible wall, the reaction times to battle commands etc are pathetic. I'm enjoying the story, i just wish the gameplay (battles in particular) were just more intuitive somehow. Either way I'll keep playing, i grabbed this game to kill some time until Final Fantasy 13

My entire Sunday (and a good part of Saturday) got consumed by this game. It really does feel like Baldurs Gate II - 3D version - although the combat/AI doesn't seem quite as responsive in BGII but I'm still enjoying it.

I love the fact that I can go to a brothel and have gay sex with a Dwarf :P

Finding the combat to be challenging - and switching the difficulty to Easy more often then I'd care to admit. I think I may have not done the best at building some of my characters. I also need to get some better items on them - dont think I've really upgraded much beyond their starting gear when they joined my party - and I'm at around level 12 now.

Have been playing around with different party setups and found that all mages + Alistar was more effective than I thought it would be - just sucks running across locks I couldn't lockpick.

The inventory system could be improved a bit I think.

Although, now I need some other PC games to justify the purchase of my new video card :P DA looks great with all the settings maxed out though. Maybe I'll need to revisit Oblivion soon.

I remember reading that they made the combat more challenging on PC because you have the advantage of the tactical perspective. Even so, I also admit there were a few spots that had to turn the difficulty down to get through on 360 on my first play through.

My favorite party member so far is definitely Oghren. He's funny and he NEVER dies.

Nah man its a bug bug. Theres a fix out on Xbox/ps3 but not yet for CPU.. but it kills both rogues and archers.

There is a PC hotfix for dexterity, although people have warned to 'watch out for archers' after applying this.

been using a rogue/duelist and find that battles are definitely overwhelming without the old-school overhead view and space-bar pause especially later in the game.

I spend most of my time micro-ing between my mages (usually the offensive minded one to figure out good area-effect spells - my healer's tactics usually do the trick) and my rogue to get decent stealth/backstab combos. I've started using the "Hold Position" command more and setting ambushes for enemies, setting a bunch of traps while stealthed and then drawing them out to my allies and that's actually working really nicely too...

My biggest problem right now is my Tank character always seems to die pretty quick. Need to figure out better buffs to put on em...

the only mistake i seemed to have made so far is killing Wynne. I've had to go into the healing tree with Morrigan and it sucks balls.

Dwarfs and Mages are done. Working on the Elves now.

to those with PS3s, I believe the Warden's Keep DLC is 1/2 price right now for Thanksgiving (even here in canada).

I'm getting it mainly for the stash box myself..

Morrigan disapproves of fucking EVERYTHING. It's really confounding. I do something nice, she doesn't like it; i do something unethical, she doesn't like it. I ask her a question, and she bitches at throws me attitude. Her love/hate level for me is the worst in the party. I just wanna kill her, but she is a good controller for the party. Lord. I can't understand women in real life and not even in a video game :S

At least Alistair keeps a good head up and does his job without the bitching.

You ever listen to him and Morrigan bicker? They gonna FUCK soon; that tension is tight.

I did Elves- then redcliffe - then the mages.

Seems i maybe should have done redcliffe first as there are now a bunch of magi quests that I need to go back to the warewolf den for.

I got pretty far into the Cross Roads, but thinking I want to leave there and get the Elves. I already have Redcliffe and The Mages.

Played this game loads for a few weeks, but haven't touched it in a week or two - probably get back into it over the holdiays.

Shale is the best character.

That golem is so fucking hilarious. Morrigan and shale absolutely hate each other, It's hilarious to hear them bitch and moan when they are in my party.
