Request a set!

Okay, this is a long shot, but I figure since we have so many kickass DJ's on tribe...and a DJ mixes room, we could request styles of sets.

I would like someone to do a techno set as a tribute to all the john selway and christian smith productions and remixes.

That would be kickassawesomefactor x the value of pie

Hard driving bass-line type of jungle a la marcusish style...I have been wanting to hear a new set of jungle with kickass rolling basslines for months now, and have requested it, but nobody seems to know what I speak of...

Kyle.

also theres a nu-school booty-ghetto tech set floating around by a japanese DJ called DJ Family...I saw Vvvverg post it a while a few months ago

I've been trying to track down that DJ Family set, with no luck. I did find another booty set in there though. Not bad at all.

Any of the DJ Godfather stuff would be hawt too.

i really want some good slutty funk + disco, the kind that makes everyone's clothes fall off mysteriously so they are dancing around in next to nothing.

and all the while little midgets dressed like mister t wander around with trays of food and mai-tais saying: 'i pity the fool that don't disco' in high squeeky midget voices.

yum.

HAMZA, even though I don't spin techno anylonger, if you wanna give me a tracklist of all the tunnes you want on a set, I'll snag them up, and put together a set for ya.

I'm bringing this thread back to life...

Could somebody Puh-lease make a funky, booty shakin breaks set? Don't get me wrong, I've gotten some very funky breaks mixes through tribe, but they always contain a lull here and there. I also understand this is part of the mixing process....bringing the listener down, only to be slapped in the face with a crazy track. BUT, I really really really want to hear an onslaught of FUNKY BREAKS. Relentlessly, track to track, rip roaring basslines, with NO easing off!

C'mon who can deliver?! There are so many great tunes, young AND old, that could be compiled into the ultimate "in your face" mix.

Help me Obi Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope.
