Read this first before posting a DJ mix - FAQ

Welcome to the new DJ Mix Forum! Over time, my hope is to make this a one-stop directory of DJ mixes. It will give DJs a chance to plug into the huge traffic we are getting to spread the word about their skills and speak directly to their listeners, fans, potential venues/club owners and independent promoters.

Please post using the following format as this will make it easier on the eyes (more browsable) and easier to search for different mixes using our board's search engine.

Create a separate thread for each mix you want to link.

In the thread title
Your thread title should list Genre, DJ Name, Mix Name. For example:

Disco - DJ Alex D. - 1977 mix
or
House - Kevin Williams - Bass Tone Mix

In the thread itself
Put an html link directly to your MP3 file. Do not put a link to your web index page, your site, someone else's site... Just a link directly to your MP3 file. If there is no direct link to an MP3 file, your post will be deleted.

In the thread itself provide a track listing (VERY IMPORTANT!!!), date of mix, if recorded live at a venue, give that info too.

Threads that veer to much from the above posting style will be deleted for continuity reasons. Threads that appear to be spammy or shill for corporate websites will be deleted. Threads that do not link directly to an audio file will be deleted.

Board members will be able to reply to your thread with comments, props, criticisms.

It is best not to put your email address in thread as the internet is always crawled by spam bots looking for email addresses. People who want to contact you who are board members can do so using our PM system. Or, should I receive an email inquiry about your stuff from a promoter or club not on our PM system I will forward the email directly to you.

DO NOT USE THIS FORUM TO PROMOTE EVENTS. IT IS SPAMMING AND YOUR POSTING PRIVILEGES MAY BE TURNED OFF WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE TO YOU.

With a simple approach like this, over time we should build up quite a directory pointing to DJ mixes and at the same time promote the fabulous talents of our local DJs which is what we have always been about.
